Your mission

  • You are developing a system for 3D reconstruction of the vehicle environment through the fusion of camera data and Lidar point clouds.

  • You are creating a real-time rendering of a top-down projection view in CARLA simulation.

  • You are preparing sensor data, including data filtering, noise reduction, and calibration. In doing so, you maintain focus on the validation of the data and identify potential use cases.

  • You are developing and implementing algorithms for Kalman filters, particle filters, and camera-Lidar calibration.

  • You are creating 3D models and real-time visualizations in CARLA.

  • You are testing and validating algorithms in urban and rural scenarios under various conditions.

Your profile

  • You have a completed degree in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.

  • You have an understanding of sensor data processing (e.g., Lidar point clouds, camera calibration) and databases (SQL, NoSQL).

  • You possess knowledge in tools such as CARLA, OpenCV, Open3D, and scikit-learn.

  • You have knowledge and skills in the following relevant subjects:

    - Advanced mathematics and statistics

    - Linear algebra: matrix operations, SVD, eigenvalues/eigenvectors

    - Probability theory: Bayesian inference, MLE, noise modeling

    - Statistical and adaptive signal processing: Kalman filters, particle filters, state estimation

    - Sensor calibration: intrinsic/extrinsic camera parameters and Lidar-camera transformation

  • You communicate fluently in English as well as German.
